First week in MLH!

First Week Of School

Monday:
Nervous, like the beginning of every year, I stepped into school grounds ready for action. My name is Kale'a (Ku-lay-a). This year I'm in MLH (Moana Learning Hub). My homeroom is room two and my teacher is Koka Terri. We had a powhiri for the new teachers and children at Wainui Beach School.  Later we had a hui, (meeting) which we will do every Monday, then we finally got into some action. we got a piece of paper to play people bingo. That's when there is squares and in each square there is a sentence.  It could be if you went to the movies in the holidays or if you can touch your nose with your tongue (a lot of people!).  We did some silent reading after morning tea and lunch and that was first day of school 2020! :)

Tuesday:
Another day, another... I don't know.😂 Today we got into some swimming for swimming sports. Been very hot lately! We will now be starting quick writes weekly. Our first quick write was chocolate VS cheese. Please comment below which one you think is better? Remember to explain why you think one is better than the other. Our teachers handed out these tiny pieces of paper with words on them. Each person in the hub got one.  They would be a group that each piece of paper in the group would relate.
there would be about five or six people in each group. these are called our buzz groups. The people in my buzz groups are Te Atawhai, Taika, Harry, Oliver, Wolfe and me.

Friday:
I'm skipping to Friday because I forgot Thursday and Wednesday. The first assembly of the year was empty! Lots of year 6's had left last year.  Discovery had a lot of shine cards handed out. Drain wise art, building blocks, art and more.  This week has been a lot of fun hope the next three terms will be as great as this one. Thank you for reading my first blog of the year.

Yours Sincerely, Kale'a. 😉
