Cross Country

❤Cross Country 2019❤

 There I was standing at the starting line. "I'm so nervous, Alivia." I whispered. "So, you guys will be running one big lap and one small lap. Okay girls, on your mark, get set, go!" Matua Nic shouted as the year four girls ran off.  Alivia started in first place and then I caught up to her and was in first place. "Yes!" I screamed in my head, I was as excited as ever when I was in first. Suddenly, Alivia ran in front of me and then, oh, Neve ran in front of me so now I was in third. "Okay, I can do it with Alice." I said as Alice came up next to me. "Come on Kale'a, we can do this together, " said Alice  "How about we tie?" I said out of breath. "Let's do this!" I yelled as loud as I could. Finally, we got  to the sand part. Me and Alice raced to Koka Ngiare and went back. We ran the whole course again but we went to Koka Terri instead.  Then we got close to the finish line. "Sorry, I'm not gonna tie!" I said to Alice as I sprinted as fast as I could through the finish line. My body ached so badly. Then after I crossed the finish line I started crying. I was so proud of myself. I wonder what it will be like next year.
